Intersection of bolo ties and street art.

Viva la Vida By NIZ

When two of our favorite mediums for art intersect we always take notice. Bolo ties have long been favored by those with unique view of the world and an independent streak. Though seemingly a world away, street arts embody many of those same ideals. Austin based artist NIZ’s piece, Viva la Vida, either “Long Live Life” or “Live the Life” in Spanish, includes a bolo tie into the imagery. We love how street art challenges the way we view the world. By taking their art literally to the street, artists like NIZ shift the thinking of all those who come upon it. We’d like to think that those that wear bolo ties do the same thing.
