Albuquerque Museum hosts Bolo Tie exhibit
June 28 through September 21, 2014.
The Albuquerque Museum will celebrate the art and history of the bolo tie. Featuring items from the Heard Museum in Phoenix, Arizona. Worn in New Mexico for decades, the bolo tie became the New Mexico’s official neckwear in 2007
Popular lore has it that bolo ties originated in the southwest. They grew in popularity in the 40′s when TV and movies helped fan the flames of western style.
If you’ll be in the Albuquerque area when the exhibit is running it will be a great time to swing by to get a sense of the history of this blend of artistry and fashion.
